SELECTION PROCESS<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The following selection process is followed:\u00a0<\/p>

  1. The applicants completes the online application form on the web or on the link provided in marketing materials.<\/li>
  2. On the application the applicant select their preferred university and programme. Programmes are available in degree and credit seeking mobilities);<\/li>
  3. They submit\/upload the requested documentation;<\/li>
  4. ASIM acknowledges receipt of application and documentation;<\/li>
  5. Applicants simultaneously apply for admission to their preferred institutions. The institutions accept or reject the application for admission;<\/li>
  6. Applicants to the University of Johannesburg also must apply for SAQA qualifications verification.<\/li>
  7. ASIM evaluates and shortlists suitable candidates;<\/li>
  8. Shortlisted candidates arc informed and invited for an interview;<\/li>
  9. Successful candidates are informed of the outcome and award of a scholarship<\/li><\/ol>

    \u00a0<\/span>Admission to Postgraduate studies supported by the Africa Sustainable Infrastructure Mobility (ASIM) Project<\/strong><\/p><\/div>

    \u00a0<\/div><\/div>
    ASIM offers support for PG studies undertaken within the Built Environment at four universities, namely: University of Johannesburg, Ardhi University, Covenant University and University of Malawi \u2013 The Polytechnic, in Africa. Applicants are advised to review research areas as outlined in the ASIM research roadmap or as advertised on the four institutions\u2019 websites. The roadmap or areas of research interest advertised by ASIM will assist in shaping and focusing your proposed research. Submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) is a requirement for consideration before submitting the application for admission. The EOI also shortens the application and admission time. Processing of the EOI will take no more than 10 working days from the date we receive all the documentation.<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    Please note that submitting an EOI does not guarantee admission nor a scholarship program.<\/span>
    Through this expression of interest, ASIM will collect your personal information and documentation to allow the universities to process your expression of interest to study at one of the four institutions.<\/span><\/div>

    I<\/strong>NFORMATION TO THE APPLICANTS<\/b><\/span><\/p>

    1. All applicants are notified by e-mail<\/span><\/li>
    2. All non-selected applicants are notified immediately after the selection decision<\/span><\/li>
    3. The notification includes the following:<\/span>
      results of the selection<\/span>
      procedure to follow for an appeal to the selection decision<\/span><\/li>
    4. or the\u00a0selected candidates<\/span>, the notification includes:<\/span>
      instructions for further steps (visa guidelines, etc.)<\/span>
      a model of the Student Agreement<\/span>
